Mind Reader

If you can re-call from my first post, everyone wears a certain mask. Even the people you think you know the best can wear a certain mask.

Have you ever stopped an wondered what was going though someone's mind. I certainly have. How do you know for a fact that a person's words towards you match up with their thoughts toward you?

The thought that someone I love can say something so encouraging to my face but be snickering in their head and laughs terrifies me!

This may just be my own insecurities coming to the surface. Could just be my mind playing tricks on me, but right now I don't believe it is.

I can be a very observant person every once and a while (believe it or not), and just earlier today I over heard to girls at school talking. The first girl was telling the second girl to go for something that she had faith in her and was playing the role of the supportive friend. When the second girl left, I over heard girl number one mumble to herself, "Ha, Like that will ever happen." then walked away in the opposite direction.

How often does the above scenario take place in our lives, how often do people speak good about us to our face and ill about us behind our backs? How often do people call us 'beautiful' and 'smart' to our face just to get called things like 'fat', 'ugly', and 'stupid' behind our backs. How many of us go to the same people over and over again, trusting them with our deepest and darkest secrets just to have them mocked and laughed at once we leave!

OK, got a little carried away up there. Back to the point.

How many of us at one point or another have wish and prayed for the ability to be able to read the minds of our friends, to really know what they thought about us? I know I have, many times.

Just to be able to separate the true friends from the back stabbers.

True friends are going to mean what they say and say what they mean. They will be honest even if they know it will hurt your feelings, and those are the type of people you need to surround yourself with.

Granted every once and a while you may doubt them, but then you will jump back to reality and know that they are true to their word. You don't need to over analyze their comments. and that is a blessing.

Be true to your words, please.

Don't make people wonder if you are honest.
